Climate Change
Climate change is defined as “changes in the average condition and/or change of the climate over a period of decades or more, regardless of the cause".
Green Energy
Green energy is any type of energy produced from natural sources such as sunlight, wind or water.
Clean Water
Clean water is colorless, odorless, and clear water that contains the minerals necessary for health in sufficient and balanced amounts.
Smart City
The main goal of a smart city is to optimize city functions and promote economic growth, while improving the quality of life of citizens, using smart technologies and data analytics.
Healthy Life
Good health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
Sustainability
Sustainability is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

- When can I apply for the Hackathon program?
Applications to the program continue until 16/12/2022
- How can I apply for the hackathon?
To apply for the hackathon organized within the scope of SDG AI Lab simply fill out the application form at the link below. For participants who will participate as a team, the form must be filled in by each team member.
- Who evaluates the projects?
Projects within the Hackathon will be evaluated by jury members from UNDP Egypt and Samsung
- How long will the hackathon last?
The hackathon will start on 16 December 2022 and will last 48 hours (2 days) in total.
- When will the project evaluation results be announced?
Following the completion of the 48-hour hackathon, the participants are invited to the pitch day, which will also be attended by the members of the jury, after the preliminary evaluation. After the Pitch Day, the projects that are ranked will be announced on 20/12/2022.
- What kind of program awaits participants at the hackathon?
The hackathon will be held online and during the hackathon, live broadcasts with the participation of experts and experienced people from SDG AI Lab are waiting for the participants.
- Do I have a team in this program?
You can participate in the program individually or with your team. If you want, you can find teammates in the Slack and WhatsApp groups we will create.
- What is Hack4ClimateAction?
With the hackathon, which will be held in cooperation with SDG AI Lab, it is aimed for the participants to develop permanent and value-added digital projects for problems in different focus areas.
- How will the hackathon process be?
Hack4ClimateAction will take place online. There will be webinar broadcasts, mentoring events, pitch day broadcasts and will end with a demo day (award ceremony).
- What is the Pitch Day broadcast? How will it progress?
The top 10 participants in the jury evaluation will be invited to Pitch Day and the broadcast will take place online. Participants will present their projects to the jury members in the form of a 3-minute presentation and a 10-minute question answering session.
- What is the demo day broadcast? How will it progress?
The demo day will be open to all participants and will be held online. The broadcast will feature 3-minute presentations by the representatives of the winning participants. After the presentations, information will be given on how to support stakeholders and business partners after the hackathon and the continuity of the community.
